Description:
Beautiful and bright deep cherry red color.

The foreign grape varieties give the wine notes of pepper, balsamic and ripe red fruit such as plum, cherry, blueberry. Well integrated oak that lend the wine aromas of spices that remind us of clove, nutmeg, cumin.

Very nice mouthfeel, outstanding creamy tannins, pretty juicy. Round and fluid. Perfectly balanced acidity, loaded with hints of fruit and spices. Perfectly integrated oak that provides wine with elegance without overshadowing the grape. Long and meaty finish that invites to keep drinking.

Grape varietals:
Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec. The grapes are sourced from selected vineyards in Ribera del Duero D.O located at an average altitude of 750-1000 meters.

Production and Harvest:
Wettest spring since 1965. Mild temperatures and no frost led to an outstanding budbreak. Milder-than-normal temperatures in May and June made us think ripening would be in danger and yet the optimal temperatures in late July and August alongside some heat waves brought the cycle forward. Despite of a rather wet spring and some summer storms the grape bunches sanitary conditions were not affected. The hottest September since 1965 with dramatic temperature changes between night and day resulted in a perfect ripening and better than expected yield. The harvest began on October 2 and ended on October 30. Good weather during harvest resulted in healthy berries. Too heavy grape clusters are removed on the sorting table.

Winemaking:
In the winery, all movement was done by gravity fed, without pumps and done gently. The grapes were de-stemmed and fermentation was done with whole berries. Clarified with natural egg whites.

Aging:
18 months Fermented and aged in French oak barrels.

Serving temperature:
After traveling, the wine needs to rest for at least 48 hours before serving. Store the bottles of wine in a cool place, at 14ºC – 16ºC, lying down, without sudden changes in temperature and in the absence of odors. If you keep the wines at home and without a chamber, it is recommended that they be consumed within one year. Taste this wine at a temperature of 16ºC – 18ºC. Decant before serving.
