Description:
Cherry red colour with deep maroon rims.

Loads of red fruit (cherry, raspberry). As wine opens it shows licorice, balsamic notes. The fine wood lends wine spicy, slight earthy and bush notes with floral hints. Lots of fruit and spice, earthy and balsamic notes.

A nervous wine with powerful tannins and pretty pleasant acidity on the palate. Spicy aftertaste with loads of fruit. Harmonious.

Grape varietals:
Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot y Malbec.

Production and Harvest:
Rather cold winter when temperatures dropped as low as -9ºC for a couple of days. Summer was pretty hot, especially June and July. Three heatwaves marked a vintage where we saw temperature records broken. Warm frost-free spring. A dry winter gave way to a rainy spring. Summer was very dry. A perfect year for grapes in Ribera del Duero. The early harvest started on September 28 when we picked our Malbec and ended on October 23 when we picked our Cabernet Sauvignon.

Winemaking:
At the winery, all tasks are always gently done by gravity, without pumps. Once de-stemmed, fermentation was carried out with whole berries.

Aging:
12 months in 225 L French oak sourced from different forests.

Serving temperature:
Before opening, allow the wine to rest for at least 48 hours before serving. Store the wine in a cool place between 14 -16ºC lying down on its side, avoiding sudden changes in temperature and in the absence of strong odors. If storing the wines at home and not in a cellar, it is recommended to consume within a year. Serve the wine at a temperature between 16 -18ºC. Decant before serving.
