Description:
Deep cherry red colour with a purplish hue. Very young.

Perfectly ripe black fruit with hints of red fruit. Lush nose with fine and elegant toasted wood notes. Pleasant spicy notes. As the wine opens it reveals a bouquet of red fruit and lactic notes. On the palate it presents pretty good acidity and fresh fruit, perfectly integrated tannins, meaty with subtle dairy notes.

Grape variety:
Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot y Malbec. The grapes are sourced from 58 selected vineyard plots and 16 different villages in Ribera del Duero.

Production and harvest:
A mild, rainy spring gave way to a mild July and a rather hot August. Very good vegetative growth in spring. Higher than average maximum temperatures in August and September and below average minimum temperatures resulted in perfect tannin polyphenolic ripening. We started picking Malbec on 24 September right after a short rainy period in early September that provided some relief after the summer drought.

Winemaking:
At the winery, all tasks are always gently done by gravity, without pumps. Once de-stemmed, fermentation was carried out with whole berries.

Aging:
Aging 12 months in 225 L French oak barrels sourced from different forests. Once aging was over, we got some 48 different wines depending on the vineyards they came from and the barrels they were aged in. These wines were blended to get the final wine.

Serving temperature: 16-18°C

We recommend uncorking this wine well in advance and decanting before serving.
